Teachers and parents know that kids can be mischievous at times. Schools often have guidelines on when students can use the bathroom to help minimize goofing off and skipping class. Sometimes, the rules go a little too far. Erik Orozcu, a sixth-grader had an accident in class and wasn’t allowed to leave. His mother and father were outraged.
Erik wet himself and then had to walk back up to the front of the classroom to admit what had happened. The teacher forced Erik to stay in class. Embarrassed, Erik was finally allowed to leave the room. He walked to the dean’s office and then to see the nurse. Erik was never given any privacy through the entire incident.
Erik’s family is sharing their son’s story because they don’t want another child to have to go through what Erik did. Share away, people.
