Nearly every girl wants to look and feel like a princess on her wedding day. One New York bride got to live that magical moment when a wonderstruck little girl with autism approached her, thinking she was a real-life Cinderella. The bride and the girl enjoyed every minute of the interaction, and amazingly, a fairytale friendship was forged.

Donning an elegant lace wedding dress, Olivia Spark looked every inch a beautiful princess as she posed for photos with her husband, Caleb, at Akron Falls Park in New York on Oct. 13, 2018—their wedding day.

Apparently, that’s what 5-year-old Layla Lester thought as well. When she saw Spark at the park, she mistook her as one of her favorite Disney princesses, Cinderella.

The vibrant Layla is autistic, and so she finds it difficult to interact with people. But seeing real-life Cinderella in front of her very eyes, she couldn’t contain her excitement.

Believing she had walked into a fairytale story, an overjoyed Layla ran towards Spark with her arms opened wide, screaming, “Cinderella! Cinderella!”

“When she sees a princess, she’s going to love them because she loves princesses,” Layla’s mom, Jessica Lester, told WIVB.

Speaking to Totally Buffalo, Lester said, “She kept calling them Cinderella and Prince Charming. She even called a few of the bridesmaids Ariel and Belle.”

Fascinated by Spark’s beauty, Layla wanted to touch her dress.

Being mistaken as Cinderella, Spark was flattered. “I was like in tears that she thought I was a princess,” she said.

Not wanting to disappoint her new fan, the kindhearted Spark kept talking to Layla, asking her questions. And of course, Layla fell in love with her favorite princess.

“I was more than happy to be Cinderella for that little girl,” Spark told CBS News.

Spark’s wedding photographer, Nicole Wickins, saw the make-believe fairytale story unfold and quickly captured the adorable moment with her camera.

“I was really caught off guard because there’s a little girl that none of us had known, so I wasn’t sure if I should take pictures,” Wickins said. “But it kind of just felt like the thing to do.”

This unexpected encounter with Layla added a magical touch to Spark’s wedding and made it “absolutely more amazing.”

“Every woman wants to feel like a princess and she made me feel like a princess,” Spark told WKBW.

Happy moments like these always end quickly. Spark had to part ways with Layla as she needed to continue with her wedding photo shoot. “Well, we’re going to the ball now,” Spark told Layla, who replied excitedly, “Bye! Have fun at the ball!”

Unable to forget the bright little girl who made Spark’s wedding day memorable, the bride’s mother-in-law, Angela Spark, took to Facebook to find her.

“I would like to share this story from yesterday in hopes of finding a woman and her daughter from Akron,” Angela Spark wrote.

“Olivia and Caleb would like to find this mother and her daughter so that they can give her some photos,” she added.

As the story went viral, Layla, Lester, Wickins, and Spark reunited a few days after on Oct. 16, 2018, in a park that has a pumpkin structure, resembling Cinderella’s carriage.

Even though Spark wasn’t wearing her wedding gown, the little girl still continued to call her Cinderella, maybe because “she is the epitome of what a real life princess would be”—absolutely kind and sweet.

During the meeting, Layla and Spark made plans to have lunch together soon. “Layla said, ‘OK, as long as there are cookies,’” Wickins told Yahoo! Lifestyle.

Since then, Layla and Spark have become friends, living “happily ever after.”

Speaking to The Epoch Times, Spark said: “We still keep in touch. She is a [sic] amazing young girl, her parents are wonderful people!”

But it didn’t just stop at this; the story had the most fitting end when community members set up a GoFundMe campaign to send Layla and her family to Disney World. Eventually, the little girl did meet all other princesses at Disney World, including another Cinderella.

Doesn’t this heartwarming real-life fairytale just bring a smile to your face?
